Generate Surgery Orders and Clearance Letters

You can generate surgery orders, lab orders, and clearance letters. On the Coordinator template, in the Medical Clearance panel, you can generate surgery orders, surgery plan documents, clearance letters, and lab orders. You can configure the document generation for the following documents based on the surgery location and admit type in the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel on the Document Config system template. Document Additional Surgery Information

You can document additional information for the planned surgery items of a surgery order. On the Surgery Order Management template, coordinators and surgery schedulers can view and edit the details of surgery orders from the Surgery Sched template. Do one of the following to open the Surgery Order Management template. Select a medical clearance record from the Orders Placed grid, and click Edit in the Place Order panel on the Surgery Sched template. Click Update in the Surgery Information panel on the Coordinator template. Click Update in the Authorization panel on the Pre Auth template. Select a record from the orders grid, and click Edit on the Surgery Scheduling Worklog template. The Surgery Order Management template opens displaying the details of the surgery order from the Surgery Sched template. Surgery Order Management template Update the surgery order as needed. Tracking Surgery Orders

You can track surgery orders, add coordinator notes, and generate various documents and patient letters on the Coordinator template. The Coordinator template is intended for surgery schedulers and coordinators, and it displays the surgery details documented on the Surgery Sched template. You can use the Coordinator template for tracking the schedule and clearance of surgeries. You can also generate surgery order documents and patient letters. Adding Patient Notification Details

You can enter the details for the coordinators on the Coordinator template. The following table describes the fields in the Surgery Information panel on the Coordinator template. If you select an option for patient notifications or letters, your name, date, and time are automatically filled in the applicable fields. Surgery Details of Patients

You can document the surgery diagnosis, procedure codes, and surgery details prior to scheduling the surgery for a patient. You can add diagnoses, surgery details, pre-operative and post-operative procedures, components, and procedure notes in the Surgery Information panel on the Surgery Sched template. The Diagnosis, Procedure, and Surgeon fields are mandatory. Surgery Scheduling Worklog

Surgery schedulers and coordinators can track details of a surgery order from the Surgery Scheduling Worklog template. You can use the Surgery Scheduling Worklog template for tracking surgery order details such as surgery clearance, orders, and pre-operative tests. All surgery orders placed on the Surgery Sched template appear in the worklog grid. You must enter your search criteria in the Filters section to view surgery orders in the worklog grid. Surgery Scheduling Worklog template In the Filters section, you can enter the desired values in the fields to filter surgery orders in the worklog grid. The Launch Chart and Edit buttons are made available only after you select a record from the worklog grid. You can open the patient's chart by selecting a record and clicking Launch Chart.
