Demographic Information	You can view the patient's demographic details documented in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can also add additional details.
Insurance Information	You can view the insurance details documented on the encounter.
Authorization	You can document the appointment schedule of a patient, and generate the appointment letters.

Billing Approval Template

The Billing Approval template documents any billing approval requirements. If a pre-authorization is required, or specific information regarding a work comp claim or auto liability claim, this authorization information can be tracked on this template. This template consists of three panels: Demographic- This panel contains the patient’s contact information and best times to reach the patient. This information carries forward from the Pre Reg template but can be edited here if needed. The patient status will pull over from NextGen® Enterprise PM and is read-only. Insurance-The Insurance panel pulls insurance information from the encounter. This information is read-only and cannot be updated from this panel. There are places for users to record pre-authorization information and details regarding that information for work comp, auto/liability, self-pay, care source, and Misc. Pre-Registration Worklog

You can use the Pre-Reg Worklog system template is reference tool for the pre-registration staff. You must add patients manually to the worklog via the Pre Reg template. Users tracking clinical approval, billing approval, etc. can track this information and launch the patient's chart directly from this worklog. You can manually add a patient to the worklog or you can add them from the Pre Reg template. You can access the Pre-Reg Worklog template from the Pre Reg link on the Home template. Providers and Patient Histories for Pre-Registration

The Clinical 1 template enables you to add the patient histories and the details of the providers. You can use the Clinical 1 template to document the providers and shared care facilities that needs to be added in the documentation for pre-registration of a patient. You can also document any patient histories, medications, and allergies prior to the patient visit for their appointment. This template has the Providers and History panels. You can use the notes and signoff sections to add the notes and sign off the details documented on the Clinical 1 template. The Notes field is shared with the following pre-registration templates. Preregistration Workflow

You can only initiate the preregistration workflow to document the details of the patient before their visit to the office. The preregistration workflow is to be performed before a patient visit the office. For example, a phone nurse contacts the patient to perform preregistration before the appointment. You can open the preregistration workflow templates using the Pre Reg link on the Home template. The following table describes the templates used in this workflow. Template Description Pre Reg To document the chief complaints, appointment details, patient demographics, and insurance details. You can also generate letters for preregistration of patients. Demographic Information Panel

This panel displays patient demographic information pulled from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Demographic Information panel on the Pre Reg template You can update the patient SSN, and Address by clicking in the appropriate fields. Any changes made in this panel will be updated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If the patient is a minor, enter the guardian’s name and relationship. To launch the Authorization to Treat template, right click the grid and select Add New. Employer information can be added by clicking the Add button below the employer grid and filling out the patient information. Phone numbers and best contact time can be entered as well as ethnicity, race and language. Double-click the appropriate grid to launch the templates or click the ELR button to launch the Patient Information template. Any changes made in these panels are sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM. Authorization Panel

If clinical and billing approval are complete, the last step is the authorization panel. This is where users document when the appointment is scheduled, generate welcome pack information to send to patient with appointment information, generate appointment denial letters, as well as, need more information or cancellation letters. Authorization panel on the Pre Reg template The Clinical Approval and Billing Approval check boxes are read-only. These are automatically checked when Clinical and Billing approval requirements have been met and completed on the Clinical Approval and Billing Approval templates. Note: The When and Event Chain fields are filled in if that information was entered on the Clinical Approval template.
