Preregistration of Patients

You can contact patients, and do the preregistration before their visit to the office. On the Pre Reg template, you can document the chief complaints, appointment details, patient demographics, and insurance details of a patient. You can also document additional details about the appointment, and generate letters for the preregistration of the patient. You can manually add the details of the preregistered patients to the Pre-Reg Worklog template by clicking the Scanned-Add to Worklog button. Pre Reg template The following table describes the panels on the Pre Reg template. Panel Description Appointment You can document the appointment details such as problem, provider, location, and appointment type. Demographic Information You can view the patient's demographic details documented in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can also add additional details. Clinical Approval Template

This template documents any clinical approval requirements. Clinical staff can enter information here when records are received, and then task this to the provider for review. The provider can use this if they require additional information before seeing the patient, or to specify if it is ok to schedule the appointment (Provider approval) or to not schedule the appointment, and then task to the appropriate scheduling coordinator. Clinical Approval template Some fields fill in under the contact request information section based on what is entered on the Pre Reg template. You can also click the appropriate fields to add additional information. The provider can document if more information is needed prior to the visit by checking the appropriate check boxes and tasking the coordinator staff with the task icon. Billing Approval Template

The Billing Approval template documents any billing approval requirements. If a pre-authorization is required, or specific information regarding a work comp claim or auto liability claim, this authorization information can be tracked on this template. This template consists of three panels: Demographic- This panel contains the patient’s contact information and best times to reach the patient. This information carries forward from the Pre Reg template but can be edited here if needed. The patient status will pull over from NextGen® Enterprise PM and is read-only. Insurance-The Insurance panel pulls insurance information from the encounter. This information is read-only and cannot be updated from this panel. There are places for users to record pre-authorization information and details regarding that information for work comp, auto/liability, self-pay, care source, and Misc. Clinical 2 Pre-Registration Template

Pre-Registration Worklog

You can use the Pre-Reg Worklog system template is reference tool for the pre-registration staff. You must add patients manually to the worklog via the Pre Reg template. Users tracking clinical approval, billing approval, etc. can track this information and launch the patient's chart directly from this worklog. You can manually add a patient to the worklog or you can add them from the Pre Reg template. You can access the Pre-Reg Worklog template from the Pre Reg link on the Home template. Document Providers and Patient Histories for Preregistration

You can add patient histories and the details of the providers for preregistration of a patient. On the Pre Reg template, click the Clinical 1 tab. The Clinical 1 template opens. Clinical 1 template Note: The fields in the Appointment, Contact Information, and Best Time sections are automatically filled with the values on the Pre Reg template. You can update the fields below Best Time. Double-click the Pharmacy field. The Preferred Pharmacy window opens. Add the preferred pharmacy for the patient. Review the preferred pharmacy, and select Reviewed. Review the following details, and select All Reviewed.
