Providers and Patient Histories for Pre-Registration

The Clinical 1 template enables you to add the patient histories and the details of the providers. You can use the Clinical 1 template to document the providers and shared care facilities that needs to be added in the documentation for pre-registration of a patient. You can also document any patient histories, medications, and allergies prior to the patient visit for their appointment. This template has the Providers and History panels. You can use the notes and signoff sections to add the notes and sign off the details documented on the Clinical 1 template. The Notes field is shared with the following pre-registration templates. Preregistration of Patients

You can contact patients, and do the preregistration before their visit to the office. On the Pre Reg template, you can document the chief complaints, appointment details, patient demographics, and insurance details of a patient. You can also document additional details about the appointment, and generate letters for the preregistration of the patient. You can manually add the details of the preregistered patients to the Pre-Reg Worklog template by clicking the Scanned-Add to Worklog button. Clinical Approval Template

This template documents any clinical approval requirements. Clinical staff can enter information here when records are received, and then task this to the provider for review. The provider can use this if they require additional information before seeing the patient, or to specify if it is ok to schedule the appointment (Provider approval) or to not schedule the appointment, and then task to the appropriate scheduling coordinator. Clinical Approval template Some fields fill in under the contact request information section based on what is entered on the Pre Reg template. You can also click the appropriate fields to add additional information. The provider can document if more information is needed prior to the visit by checking the appropriate check boxes and tasking the coordinator staff with the task icon. Pre-Registration Worklog

You can use the Pre-Reg Worklog system template is reference tool for the pre-registration staff. You must add patients manually to the worklog via the Pre Reg template. Users tracking clinical approval, billing approval, etc. can track this information and launch the patient's chart directly from this worklog. You can manually add a patient to the worklog or you can add them from the Pre Reg template. You can access the Pre-Reg Worklog template from the Pre Reg link on the Home template. Preregistration Workflow

You can only initiate the preregistration workflow to document the details of the patient before their visit to the office. The preregistration workflow is to be performed before a patient visit the office. For example, a phone nurse contacts the patient to perform preregistration before the appointment. You can open the preregistration workflow templates using the Pre Reg link on the Home template. The following table describes the templates used in this workflow. Check In Template

The Check In template has the following panels: Last Pre-Registration- review of the last date the patient demographics were updated and reviewed. If the patient has not had a clinical history done within the last six months, you are prompted to complete the pre-registration template workflow. The NextGen Portal Registration section displays the patient's portal registration and HIPAA status. Special Situations- enter work-related or automobile-related injury information including the date of injury, if the patient is in a skilled nursing facility, patient guardian information, and nurse case manager information.
