Check Out Template

The Check Out template walks you through scheduling information from the patient visit: E & M Information displays the following: Status of the visit code on the Finalize Visit template and the visit type. Nurse case manager, if it was documented on the Check In template. Co-pay information. Cash Items- displays information from the Cash Supplies template and the green check mark indicates supplies were given and the total cost. Medications Prescribed or Renewed Today- displays medications entered in the current encounter. Next Visit Information- displays information from the encounter if the Upload NV button was selected on the Billable Visit, Fracture Care, or Non-Billable template. This informs staff to schedule an appointment in the NextGen® Enterprise PM. When you enter the Appt date, the content in the Details in EPM Appt are sent to the appointment details in the NextGen® Enterprise PM. Demographics Template

Use the Demographics template to update patient demographics and contact information. Any changes made in this panel are updated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The Insurance panel displays the encounter level insurance information. This information is read-only and cannot be updated from this panel. Front Desk Workflow

The purpose of the front desk workflow is to have a way to view and add patient information from NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates without having to go to NextGen® Enterprise PM. It also provides a final check to make sure all pertinent patient information is entered before the patient sees the provider. Preregistration of Patients

You can contact patients, and do the preregistration before their visit to the office. On the Pre Reg template, you can document the chief complaints, appointment details, patient demographics, and insurance details of a patient. You can also document additional details about the appointment, and generate letters for the preregistration of the patient. You can manually add the details of the preregistered patients to the Pre-Reg Worklog template by clicking the Scanned-Add to Worklog button. Record NextGen Portal Registration

The NextGen Portal Registration section of the Intake template enables you to see if the patient is activated in the portal, and the email address associated with the portal. NextGen Portal Registration section of the Intake template Select one of the following options for portal registration: Enrolled Declined Note: The Activated option is automatically selected if the patient is active in the portal. The email address automatically pulls from the NextGen® Enterprise PM application. If you are enrolling the patient while they are present in the room, select the In Room check box. Demographic Information Panel

This panel displays patient demographic information pulled from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Demographic Information panel on the Pre Reg template You can update the patient SSN, and Address by clicking in the appropriate fields. Any changes made in this panel will be updated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If the patient is a minor, enter the guardian’s name and relationship. To launch the Authorization to Treat template, right click the grid and select Add New. Employer information can be added by clicking the Add button below the employer grid and filling out the patient information. Phone numbers and best contact time can be entered as well as ethnicity, race and language. Double-click the appropriate grid to launch the templates or click the ELR button to launch the Patient Information template. Any changes made in these panels are sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM.
