Fracture Care Workflow

Use the Fracture Care Visit templates for fracture care where an E&M code is not being calculated/billed out. There are separate templates for Single Fracture (FC Single FX) for one fracture care code, Multi FX (FC Multiple FX) for up to three fracture care codes, and Poly Trauma (FC Poly Trauma) for unlimited fracture care codes. These templates all have three panels; History, Physical Exam and Assessment and Plan. The fracture care templates are accessed by clicking the New Fracture tab and selecting the desired template. Non-Billable Fracture Care Post-Op Workflow

Each fracture care template has a corresponding non-billable fracture care template such as NBV Single Fx, NBV Multiple FX, and NBV Poly-Trauma FX follow-up. The non-billable fracture care templates are accessed by clicking the Non-Billable tab and selecting the desired template. These templates enable you to document a follow-up visit for the initial fracture care visit. Each of these templates has four panels; Surgical Information, History, Physical Exam, and Assessment and Plan. Copy Previous Surgery Details You can copy details of previous surgeries for assessment and planning of the polytrauma fracture care on the NBV PolyTrauma template. Patient History for Post-Operative Visits You can associate surgical procedures with post-operative visits, and document a patient's history for post-operative visits. Preregistration Workflow

You can only initiate the preregistration workflow to document the details of the patient before their visit to the office. The preregistration workflow is to be performed before a patient visit the office. For example, a phone nurse contacts the patient to perform preregistration before the appointment. You can open the preregistration workflow templates using the Pre Reg link on the Home template. The following table describes the templates used in this workflow. Template Description Pre Reg To document the chief complaints, appointment details, patient demographics, and insurance details. You can also generate letters for preregistration of patients. Clinical Approval To document the clinical approval requirements. Billing Approval To document the billing approval requirements. Cast and Wound Care Workflow

You can document a patient's history, physical exams, basic assessment, and plan for the cast and wound care. The providers and clinical staff can use the Cast/Wound Care template to document the details of the cast and wound care without using the Billable Visit and Non Billable Visit templates. Cast/Wound Care template The following table describes the panels on this template. Panel Description History To document the patient's surgical history and issues with the cast, brace, splint, or wound. Physical Exam To document issues with the cast area and what was done for the new cast, splint, or brace. Plan To document the details of the basic assessment and plan. Access the FC Past Med Hx Template

You can access the FC Past Med Hx template from the Home template. On the Home template, click the New Fracture tab. The Navigation window opens. Select any fracture care template from the list, and click OK. The selected template opens. On the fracture care template, click the Past Med Fx tab. The FC Past Med Hx template opens. Pre-Operative History and Physical Exams

The Pre-op H&P template enables you to document the details of H&P exams and generate the H&P Note. You can use the Pre-op H&P template to review the patient history, document physical exams, and add diagnosis details before surgery. It is also used to generate the H&P Note document. This template consists of the following panels.
