If a radiology test is mistakenly performed at your practice, you can mark the test as performed in error.
Before you begin
Ensure the following:
- The iorts_order_rad_mgt_1 call name is configured and turned on in the Tasks panel of the Tasking Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download latest Configuration Guide forNextGen®Orthopedic Suite.
- The status of the radiology order is Performed or Interpreted.
- Open the Radiology Order Management template.
The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order.
- Select the Error checkbox.
The Error Notes field appears.
- Enter the reason for marking the test as performed in error.
- Select Update.
The status of the order is updated to
error. The test code is updated to
NOCHRG in the
Radiology Order Management and
Finalize Visit templates.
Note: If the test performed in error is not interpreted, a task is created for updating the order as interpreted, based on the following configurations in the
Task Options panel of the
Tasking Configuration template:
- If the Assign To option is configured for the iorts_order_rad_mgt_1 call name, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient.
- If the Assign To option is not configured for the iorts_order_rad_mgt_1 call name, the Add New Task window opens with the configured details. You can manually assign the task to a recipient.
- Select Close.
