Mark Internal Radiology Orders as Performed and Interpreted

After you place internal radiology orders and perform a test, you can update the test details and mark the test is performed and interpreted. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Optional: Select a modifier. If your practice uses a picture archiving and communication system (PACS), select PACS to open medical images and reports. Note: You can configure the PACS button and the automatic selection of the Interpreted checkbox in the General panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Mark Radiology Orders as Scheduled in the Radiology Order Management Template

After you place a radiology order to be performed in your practice or at an external facility in the future, you can add the authorization number and schedule the test. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Do one of the following: To obtain the authorization number from NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Get, and then select the authorization number. To manually enter the authorization number, enter the number in Authorization Number. Note: Authorization numbers manually entered do not appear in NextGen® Enterprise PM. To obtain authorization from another user, select the task icon, and then assign a task. Optional: To clear an incorrect authorization number, select the erase icon. Update Submitted Radiology Orders

You can update the details of submitted radiology orders performed and billed in your practice. Before you begin Make sure the administrative override is configured in the Admin Override panel of the IORTS Practice Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download latest Configuration Guide forNextGen®Orthopedic Suite. Open the Radiology Order Management template. The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order. Select Admin Override. A message appears to confirm the administrative override of the encounter. Select Yes. The Comments, Findings, and Impressions fields become available for editing. Open the Radiology Orders Management Template

You can open the Radiology Order Management template to update order details and change the status for all types of radiology orders. Open the Home template. To open the Radiology Order Management template from the Single Order template, do the following: Select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Select a radiology order from the Today's Orders grid, and then select Edit. To open the Radiology Order Management template from the Radiology Order template, do the following: Select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Radiology Order. Select an option for Performed. Select an order from the Radiology Orders grid, and then select Edit. Update Radiology Orders in the Radiology Order Worklog

You can update the details of radiology orders to be performed and billed in your practice or at an external facility in the future. To open the Rad Order Worklog system template, do one of the following: Select File > System \ Practice Template, and then select Rad Order Worklog from the Select Template window. From the Home or any other applicable template, select the Forms link, and then select Rad Order Worklog. Note: The Rad Order Worklog template opens with the details of the Internal Later and External orders. Only the radiology orders with the Ordered and Scheduled statuses appear in the grid, and they are removed from the grid when the status is updated to one of the following: Completed for External orders Performed for Internal Later orders Cancelled for Internal Later and External orders Select an option for Performed. Edit an External Order from the Outside Diagnostic Study Grid

You can edit and manage External orders placed on the Radiology Order and Single Order templates on the Radiology Order Management template. Select an External order in the grid and click Edit below the Outside Diagnostic Studies grid. The Radiology Order Management template opens. Click the Original Report Findings link to view the original report findings, if applicable. If the provider has read the report, they can enter their findings in the Findings and Impressions fields.
