Mark Radiology Orders as Scheduled in the Radiology Order Management Template

After you place a radiology order to be performed in your practice or at an external facility in the future, you can add the authorization number and schedule the test.

1. Open the Radiology Order Management template.
   The details of the order you selected for opening the Radiology Order Management template are displayed in their corresponding fields. To update a different order, you can filter the orders displayed in the grid, and then select the order.
2. Do one of the following:
   • To obtain the authorization number from NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Get, and then select the authorization number.
   • To manually enter the authorization number, enter the number in Authorization Number.
     Note: Authorization numbers manually entered do not appear in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
   • To obtain authorization from another user, select the task icon, and then assign a task.
3. Optional: To clear an incorrect authorization number, select the erase icon.
   If the cleared authorization number is added through Get, it will be returned to the list of authorization numbers in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
4. From the date field for Test Scheduled, select the scheduled date to perform the radiology test.
5. Do one of the following to enter the scheduled time:
   • To enter the current time, select the time icon.
   • To enter a specific time, select the entry icon, and then enter the time.
6. Optional: Update the performing entity and location.
   Note: You can configure the list of performing locations for external radiology orders by using the Template Picklists panel of the IORTS Picklist Configuration template. 7. Select the Scheduled checkbox.
8. Select Update, and then select Close.
