Changing Surgery Schedules

You can cancel, revise, and reschedule the existing surgery orders. On the Surgery Sched template, in the Place Order panel, you can use the following check boxes to cancel, revise, or reschedule the existing surgery orders. Cancel Revised Reschedule Cancel, Revised, Reschedule check boxes in the Place Order panel When you cancel, revise, or reschedule a surgery order, the changes in the surgery schedule are reflected on the Coordinator template. The Order Status/Messages grid displays the changes in the surgery order status, your name, and the date and time of the change. You can also enter a message in the message field, and click Add Message for manually adding messages to the grid. If you need to add patients to the wait list or their surgery is rescheduled, you can click Add to Waitlist to send the patient’s information to the Wait List template. Place Surgery Orders

You can document the details of the surgery, and place surgery orders. On the Surgery Sched template, you can document the details in the following panels, and then place the surgery order in the Place Order panel. Surgery Information Surgical Risk Index Pre-Surgical Checklist Medical Clearance Histories Insurance Lab/Testing On the Surgery Sched template, expand the Place Order panel. Place Order panel on the Surgery Scheduling template If the surgery details are documented by a clinical staff, enter notes for coordinators in the Clinical Staff Notes field, as needed. Note: The notes added in this field are displayed in the Clinical Staff Notes field on the Coordinator template. To indicate that the preregistration is complete, select the Pre-Reg Complete check box. Note: The following fields are automatically filled with the details from the preregistration workflow templates. You can click Pre-reg to open and update the details on the preregistration workflow templates. Pre-Reg Done

Surgery Scheduling Template

Use the Surgery Sched template to enter surgery-related information. The information can be entered by the clinical staff, but must be reviewed and signed off by a provider or surgeon. The Surgery Sched template has the following panels: Surgery Information Surgical Risk Index Pre-Surgical Checklist Medical Clearance Histories Insurance Lab/Testing Place Order Surgery Scheduling template Record the Surgery Date and Location Surgery Details of Patients You can document the surgery diagnosis, procedure codes, and surgery details prior to scheduling the surgery for a patient. Surgical Risk Index of a Patient You can view and edit the patient's risk factors for a surgery. Pre-Surgical Checklist Panel Documenting Medical Clearance Details You can add and track the medical clearance details of a patient for scheduling a surgery. Configure Document Generations for Surgery Orders

You can configure document generations for surgery orders based on the surgery location and admit type. On the Document Config system template, expand the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel. Click the blank field for Document Group, and select the document group from the list. The list opens for the Surgery Location field. Select the surgery location from the list. Click the blank field for Admit Type, and select the admit type of the patient from the list. Click the blank field for Document Name, select the document to be generated from the document window, and click OK. Click the blank field for Generation Type, and select the document generation type from the list. To generate an offline document, select Offline. To print the document, select Print. Select one of the following options to define when to generate the document. PAQ Enabled PAQ Disabled Always Click Add. The document generation for the surgery order is configured. On the Document Config system template, in the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel, you can configure document generations for surgery orders, based on the surgery location and patient's admit type. You can also update or delete the document configurations. Manage PAQ Functionality for Practice Locations

On the Miscellaneous Configuration practice template, expand the Submit & Signoff panel. Submit and Signoff panel on the Miscellaneous Configuration template To enable the PAQ sign-off for practice locations, do the following in the Location Allowing PAQ Signoff section. To enable the PAQ sign-off for a location, select the desired location in the location grid. The check mark appears in the Allow column for the selected location. To enable the PAQ sign-off for all locations, select the Select All check box. The check mark appears in the Allow column for all locations. To disable the PAQ sign-off for practice locations, do the following in the Location Allowing PAQ Signoff section. To disable the PAQ sign-off for a location, select the desired location with the check mark in the location grid. The check mark disappears from the Allow column for the selected location. To disable the PAQ sign-off for all locations, clear the Select All check box. The check mark disappears from the Allow
