Configure Scribe Approval for Submitting Charges

On the Specialty Config Home template, select Practice from the left navigation bar. The IORTS Practice Configuration template opens. Expand the Finalize Visit Settings panel. To make the scribe's approval required for submitting charges on scribe encounters, select the Require Scribe Sign-off before submitting on Finalize Visit checkbox. Allow Modification of the Calculated E&M Code

The system calculates the E&M Code based upon data entered on the Billable Visit template. However you can override the suggested E&M Code and select a new visit code level for billing on the Finalize Visit template. To enable the override, select the Allow modification of the Calculated E&M code check box on the Finalize Visit Settings panel of the Practice Configuration practice template. The application logs the overrides done on the Finalize Visit template, which can be viewed in the E&M Override Log grid of the Admin Override panel. Parent topic: Finalize Visit Settings

Allow Users to Override Visit Type

A visit type is required on the Billable Visit template. The application suggests a visit type in parentheses, based on the last billed date and the date of the patient’s last visit (these are office global dates, not procedure dates). You can configure settings related to the Finalize Visit template on the Finalize Visit Settings panel of the Practice Configuration practice template. Indicating the Treatment as an Incident to a Previous Encounter

The Finalize Visit template contains a checkbox to help you indicate if today’s patient care is an incident to a plan or a diagnosis made on a previous patient encounter. You can select the Incident To check box to open the IORTS Incident to Plan template, which shows a filtered list of previous encounters. You can select an encounter to indicate that it is an incident to the today's treatment.
