Submit to Supervisor Settings Grid

The NextGen® Orthopedic Suite looks first to the Provider master file in the File Maintenance to determine if a provider requires supervisor signoff. The Supervisor Required setting in File Maintenance assumes signoff is required on 100% of encounters. You can use the Submit to Supervisor Settings grid to override the requirement for 100% supervisor signoff for providers who only require supervisor signoff for certain encounters. Submit to Supervisor Settings grid in the Finalize Visit Settings panel Adding a provider’s name to this grid displays the Send to Supervising Physician button on the Finalize Visit template for encounters with that provider. The button gives the provider the option to submit the encounter to the supervisor for signoff. Incident To Settings

The Incident To settings section enables you to set defaults to filter the options for Incident To billing. These settings affect what is displayed in the IORTSincident To Plan window that opens on selecting the Incident To check box on the Finalize Visit template. Finalize Visit Settings

You can configure settings related to the Finalize Visit template on the Finalize Visit Settings panel of the Practice Configuration practice template. Sign Off as Scribe

If the Scribe Encounter checkbox on the Home template is selected for the current encounter, the scribe can sign off before submitting charges or the provider signs off on the Finalize Visit template. Select the Scribe signoff checkbox. Scribe signoff check box on the Billable Visit template This enters the user’s name with a date and timestamp, and generates the document if PAQ functionality is enabled. Note: You can make the scribe's approval required or optional for submitting charges on scribe encounters by using the Finalize Visit Settings panel of the IORTS Practice Configuration template. Enable a Security Group to Submit Charges on Finalize Visit Template

You can enable a security group to submit the charges on Finalize Visit template. On the IORTS Miscellaneous Configuration practice template, expand the Submit & Signoff panel. In the field below the Name column of the Security Groups Allowed to Submit Charges on the Finalize Visit grid, select the security group. Remove a Security Group Authorization to Submit Charges on Finalize Visit Template

You can remove authorization from a security group to submit charges on the Finalize Visit template. On the IORTS Miscellaneous Configuration practice template, expand the Submit & Signoff panel. In the Security Groups Allowed to Submit Charges on the Finalize Visit grid, select the security group. The group name and description appear the fields below the grid. Click Remove.
