Enter Surgery Details

Prior to scheduling a surgery, you can enter the details of the surgery such as surgeon, assistant, anesthesiologist, anesthetics, admit type, patient position, and specific equipment.

You can enter the details of the surgery such as surgeon, assistant, anesthesiologist, anesthetics, admit type, patient position, and specific equipment in the Surgery Information panel on the Surgery Sched template.

1. On the Surgery Sched template, expand the Surgery Information panel.
   Note: The Surgeon and Location fields are mandatory. By default, the rendering provider on the encounter appears in the Surgeon field. You can update the surgeon name or surgery location by clicking the field and selecting the desired option from the list.
2. Add the surgery details in the fields.
3. Enter any additional information about the procedure in the Procedure Notes field.
4. To add the components required for the surgery, use the Components grid.
5. Enter any notes about the components in the Miscellaneous Components Notes field.
