Document Actions of the Scheduler

You can document your actions as the scheduler for a patient's missed appointment.

  1. On the Missed Appointment template, expand the Scheduler Actions panel.

  2. Indicate if the patient does not want to reschedule the appointment.
  3. If the appointment is scheduled, do the following:
    1. Select the Appointment made with check box.
      A window opens for selecting the provider.
    2. Select the provider with whom the appointment is scheduled.
      A calendar window opens for selecting the date of the appointment.
    3. Select the date from the calendar window, and click OK.
    4. To enter the current time, click the Clock icon icon.
    5. To enter a specific time, click the Down arrow icon icon, enter the time in the time entry window, and then click OK.
  4. Indicate if the patient is notified by phone for rescheduling the appointment.
  5. Indicate any unsuccessful phone calls to the patient for rescheduling the appointment.
    Your name and the current date and time are automatically filled in the corresponding fields.
  6. Enter your comments in the Comments field.
  7. If the missed appointment letter is mailed to the patient, select the No show letter mailed to patient check box.
  8. To generate the missed appointment letter to the patient or referring provider, click the appropriate document Document icon icon.
  9. Select the Done check box.
    Your name and the current date and time are automatically filled in the corresponding fields.
  10. Select the Template Done check box.
    Your name and the current date and time are automatically filled in the corresponding fields.
  11. To generate the missed appointment summary document, click the summary Document icon icon.
