You can document your actions as the scheduler for a patient's missed appointment.
- On the Missed Appointment template, expand the Scheduler Actions panel.
- Indicate if the patient does not want to reschedule the appointment.
- If the appointment is scheduled, do the following:
- Select the Appointment made with check box.
A window opens for selecting the provider.
- Select the provider with whom the appointment is scheduled.
A calendar window opens for selecting the date of the appointment.
- Select the date from the calendar window, and click OK.
- To enter the current time, click the
icon.
- To enter a specific time, click the
icon, enter the time in the time entry window, and then click OK.
- Indicate if the patient is notified by phone for rescheduling the appointment.
- Indicate any unsuccessful phone calls to the patient for rescheduling the appointment.
Your name and the current date and time are automatically filled in the corresponding fields.
- Enter your comments in the Comments field.
- If the missed appointment letter is mailed to the patient, select the No show letter mailed to patient check box.
- To generate the missed appointment letter to the patient or referring provider, click the appropriate document
icon.
- Select the Done check box.

- Select the Template Done check box.

- To generate the missed appointment summary document, click the summary
icon.
