Create Generic Letters

  1. On the Forms template, expand the Generic Letter panel.

  2. In the Create Letter section, do the following:
    1. Select the option for the intended recipient of the letter.
    2. Select the appropriate option for greeting text, and modify the greeting text, if needed.
  3. In the Body of letter field, type the text of the letter.
  4. To document the appointments, do the following:
    1. Select the Appointment Changes check box.
    2. Click the Appt. Type field, and select the appointment type from the list.
    3. Click the Appt. with field, select the provider's name from the providers window, and then click OK.
    4. Click the Appt. Date field, select the date of the appointment from the calendar window, and then click OK.
    5. To enter the current time in the Appt. Time field, click the Clock icon icon.
    6. To enter a specific time in the Appt. Time field, click the Down arrow icon icon, enter the time in the time entry window, and then click OK.
  5. Select one of the following options for adding a signature to the letter.
    • Electronic Signature
    • Print and Sign
    • Thank You Providers and Staff
  6. Click the Provider field, select the name of the provider from the providers window, and then click OK.
  7. Select the Done check box.
    Your name and the current date and time are automatically filled in the corresponding fields.
  8. To generate a letter for a patient, click the Letter to Patient Document icon icon.
    The letter for the patient is generated.
  9. To generate a letter for a provider, click the Letter to Provider Document icon icon.
    The generic letter for the provider is generated.
  10. To generate the generic letter for any other person, click the Letter Document icon icon.
    The generic letter is generated.
