Create Excuse Notes

You can create a patient's excuse notes for school and work. Open the Forms template. Excuse panel on the Forms template Select the Pt Seen check box. The calendar window opens to select the date of the appointment. Select the date on the calendar window, and click OK. Enter the time of the appointment as follows: To enter the current time, click the Clock icon icon. To enter a specific time, click the Down arrow icon icon, enter the time in the time entry window, and then click OK. In the Excuse panel, do the following: Select the appropriate options for excuse. Type any comments for excuse, if needed. Click the Provider field, select the name of the provider from the providers window, and then click OK. Note: By default, the name of the rendering provider is displayed in this field. Select the Done check box. Create Restrictions Notes

You can create a patient's restrictions notes for gym and sports activities. Open the Forms template. Restrictions panel on the Forms template Select the Pt Seen check box. A window opens for selecting the date of the appointment. Select the date on the calendar window, and click OK. To enter the time of the appointment, do one of the following: To enter the current time, click the Clock icon icon. To enter a specific time, click the Down arrow icon icon, enter the time in the time entry window, and then click OK. In the Restrictions panel, do the following: In the No participation in section, select the activity that patient cannot participate in. A window opens for selecting the duration. Enter the duration of the patient's inactivity, and click OK. Note: You can also indicate if the patient cannot participate in the selected activities until cleared by provider or next appointment. You can create generic letters and excuse notes for a patient to describe the restrictions due to an injury. You can use the Forms template to document patient's medical condition, and generate excuse notes for school, gym, work, and sports. You can also create generic letters for any other occasions. Document Actions of the Scheduler

You can document your actions as the scheduler for a patient's missed appointment. On the Missed Appointment template, expand the Scheduler Actions panel. Scheduler Actions panel on the Missed Appointment template Indicate if the patient does not want to reschedule the appointment. If the appointment is scheduled, do the following: Select the Appointment made with check box. A window opens for selecting the provider. Select the provider with whom the appointment is scheduled. A calendar window opens for selecting the date of the appointment. Select the date from the calendar window, and click OK. To enter the current time, click the Clock icon icon. Enter Document Signatures

Multiple people may be required to sign the encounter. Security on the Signatures panel is set up so that only the person who checks a signature line can alter it in any way. The name of the user who is logged on to the computer fills in the name field, along with the date of the signature. After ‘signing’, you can send a task to the next person who has to sign off. Electronic signature software can be used to capture the signature for the client or parent/guardian. In the Signatures panel, place a check mark next to the label(s) that apply. If needed, enter or modify any Credentials to further identify a signature. To indicate that signature is not applicable and clear the fields of anything that may have been entered in the same row select N/A. Click the Send Task button to forward the template to the next person in line to sign off. If your signature does not fall under the preset options, use the Additional Staff section. Add Patient Contact Details

You can document a patient's contact details, generate the patient contact summary document, and generate the contact letter. You can use the Patient Contact template to document the communication details with a patient. You can also assign tasks to the provider or any other user to complete the action items. On the Home template, click the Patient Contact link, and select Patient Contact in the list. The Patient Contact template opens. Patient Contact template In the Chart Information section, enter the chart details. In the Provider Information section, click the Clinical Staff field, and select the name of the staff on the staff window. Note: The Rendering Prov field is automatically filled with the data from the login details, and the Provider field is filled while documenting the chart details. You can change the provider names.
