You can enter the date of injury, initial treatment (Initial Rx) Date and Global Date.
In the
Assessment and Plan
panel, enter the date of injury in the
Dt of Injury
field.
Enter the
Initial Rx Date
.
The
Global
days are automatically calculated and entered in the fields, based on the encounter date.
Note:
You can change the
Initial Rx Date
manually if necessary. The
Global
date recalculates based on the new
Initial Rx
date.

Add a Diagnosis to Plan
The Diagnosis grid displays the patient’s diagnoses. You can add a diagnosis for today’s visit or use one from the Diagnosis grid. Filter the grid by selecting the Orthopedic or Medical option above the Diagnosis grid. Click Add under the grid to launch the Common Assessment template or click Problem IT if using IMO. Select a diagnosis to add to the patient’s history. Click Save & Close. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to add it to today’s plan. The selected diagnosis moved to the Diagnosis field. Note: For the multi-fracture template, you can select the second and third diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid and the diagnosis are assigned to the Fracture 2 and Fracture 3 field respectively. Add New Diagnoses from the Common Assessment Template
The Diagnosis grid displays the patient’s diagnoses. The grid defaults to Orthopedic to show Orthopedic-specific diagnoses. The Medical options displays other clinical diagnoses. Click Add under the grid to launch the Common Assessment template. Select a diagnosis to add to the patient’s history. Click Save & Close. Medical Decision Making for Multi Fractures
You can enter in the plan information. Each fracture care code has its own plan section. The plan includes any verbal counseling done, medications, office procedures, diagnostic tests, labs, DME’s, and patient education. There is also an area to designate follow-up visits. These fields are all picklist-driven and fully configurable on the Picklist Configuration template. You can enter data multiple different ways: Click each field to select items from a picklist. Click on the star or double star icons in the QuickPick Toolbar at the top of the Fracture Care template or from the MDM button that opens the MDM template to load a template default. Date of Injury and Global Date
The Date of Injury, Initial Treatment Date, and Global Date fields are in the Physical Exam panel, under the Office Procedure grid. Date of injury, initial treat date, and global date on the FC Poly Trauma template Click the Date of Injury field and select the date of injury from the calendar. Click the Initial treat date field and select the initial treat date from the calendar. Note: You can change the initial treat date manually if necessary, the global date will recalculate based on the new initial treat date. Click the Submit button below each fracture care code to send the code to the Finalize Visit template for final submission to NextGen® Enterprise PM and the Procedures module. Assessment and Plan for Multiple Fracture
The Assessment and Plan panel on the FC Multiple FX enables the provider to submit up to three fracture care diagnoses codes, with procedure codes and details for each. It also allows you to document the plan for each code, verbal counseling, and next visit information. It provides quick links to cast or splint, DME, and office procedures. Select Diagnoses for Today’s Visit
You can add up to three diagnoses in the Fracture Care 1 to Fracture Care 3 fields for today’s visit. Select a diagnosis from the Past Diagnosis grid. It immediately fills the next open Fx Care field option until all three are filled.
