Add a Diagnosis to Plan

The Diagnosis grid displays the patient’s diagnoses. You can add a diagnosis for today’s visit or use one from the Diagnosis grid. Filter the grid by selecting the Orthopedic or Medical option above the Diagnosis grid. Click Add under the grid to launch the Common Assessment template or click Problem IT if using IMO. Select a diagnosis to add to the patient’s history. Click Save & Close. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to add it to today’s plan. The selected diagnosis moved to the Diagnosis field. Note: For the multi-fracture template, you can select the second and third diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid and the diagnosis are assigned to the Fracture 2 and Fracture 3 field respectively. Diagnosis Details of Patients

The Diagnosis grid displays the orthopedic diagnoses or general medical diagnoses of the patient, depending on the selected option above the grid. The Diagnosis grid displays data entered on the applicable templates of the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. You can also add, edit, and remove diagnoses of the patient. Diagnosis grid Add the Patient's Diagnoses Edit a Diagnosis You can edit the description of a diagnosis. Add the Patient's Diagnoses

You can add a diagnosis to the grid in either of two ways. If you are licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, click the Problem IT button under the grid to launch IMO to add a diagnosis. To use the Inf Common Assessment template, click the Add button under the Diagnosis grid. Select Orthopedic to add an orthopedic-specific diagnosis or the Medical option for all other diagnoses. Click Add under the Diagnosis grid. The Inf Common Assessment template opens. If the template is blank or you want to use a different common assessment, click the Common Assessments field, select a page from the picklist and click OK. Headers and categories are in bold font Items with a plus sign open picklists or code options to choose from Anything with a Description and Code enters directly into the grid. Select Diagnoses for Today’s Visit

You can add up to three diagnoses in the Fracture Care 1 to Fracture Care 3 fields for today’s visit. Select a diagnosis from the Past Diagnosis grid. It immediately fills the next open Fx Care field option until all three are filled. Common Assessment Grids

The Common Assessment Pages grid includes the columns as described in the table. Field Description Common assessment page name Unique name for the common assessment. Template Link name The Link name that appears in run-time templates. The template link name list has the four values, Add Common Assessment, Add Custom Assessment, Add Fracture & wound assessments, and Add Injury/Fracture Assessment. Specialty The specialty set up by the practice to display the common assessment page. Age The common assessment page set to specific age group like Adult, Pediatrics, or All (includes adult and pediatric patients). Gender The common assessment page set to specific gender like Male, Female, All(for unknown or other classifications). Active The Active or Inactive status of the common assessment page. Add a New Diagnosis

You can add a diagnosis for today’s visit. On the Assessment and Plan panel, to filter the patient's diagnoses, select one of the following options above the Diagnosis grid: Orthopedic Medical Click Add under the Diagnosis grid to launch the Common Assessment template or click ProblemIT if using IMO.
