Document Internal Physician Notes

Physicians can use Internal Physician Notes as clinical reminders or sticky notes. Internal Physician Notes do not appear in patient documents and are displayed in the corresponding grid until they are modified or deleted. In the Internal Physician Notes panel, click the Timestamp link to add a time-stamp to the note. Type the note or use My Phrases to add to the note. The Internal notes are automatically saved. Add and View Internal Notes

When you read, forward, release, or reassign messages, you can leave internal notes for your co-workers that are not added to the patient's chart. To Do this Add a note while reading a message On the Patient Portal Message window, select Add Comments, and enter your note in the Enter commentwindow. Add a note while releasing a message When you select Release, the Comments window opens. Enter your note, and release the message. Add a note while reassigning a message When you select Reassign, the Select routing policywindow opens. After selecting a routing policy, enter your note in the Message section. Documenting an Impression and Plan

Providers can document their assessments, impressions, plans, return to clinic orders, and enter internal physician notes on the Assessment/Plan tab. Enter Assessments for Today's Visit Ophthalmic providers can enter the assessment, impression, and plan on the Assessment Plan - OPH template.
