Document Internal Physician Notes

Physicians can use Internal Physician Notes as clinical reminders or sticky notes. Internal Physician Notes do not appear in patient documents and are displayed in the corresponding grid until they are modified or deleted. In the Internal Physician Notes panel, click the Timestamp link to add a time-stamp to the note. Type the note or use My Phrases to add to the note. The Internal notes are automatically saved. General Panel for Providers

Documenting an Impression and Plan

Providers can document their assessments, impressions, plans, return to clinic orders, and enter internal physician notes on the Assessment/Plan tab. Enter Assessments for Today's Visit Ophthalmic providers can enter the assessment, impression, and plan on the Assessment Plan - OPH template. Notes

Use the Notes field to document anything regarding the treatment of the patient and notes to other therapists who might see the patient. Enter the note in the field below the grid, and then select Add. Notes appear on the office note document and are stored in the Notes grid for future reference. You can edit a note by highlighting it in the grid, selecting the Edit button, and then editing the text of the note in the window that opens. The system saves a historical edit/view of each note, that you can see when you select Show Deleted. Quick Notes

Quick Notes offer a way to reduce the repetition associated with documenting information, in cases where there is a great degree of common information documented in similar clinical situations during patient visits. Quick Notes can help providers increase their productivity without compromising patient care. Quick Notes enable you to save the entire SOAP template, including all data fields, check boxes, options, and associated HPI settings under a unique name. You must later edit the information for the individual patient while using the quick note. Note: If you apply a Quick Note and subsequently apply a second Quick Note, the data associated with the second Quick Note overwrites all existing data in the template.
