Refill Medications

In NextGen® Mobile, the refill requests appear on the Refills view. You cannot submit refills for controlled substances medications with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) class codes as C1 and C2. Whereas C3, C4, and C5 medications can be submitted for up to five refills per transaction. Note: In NextGen® Mobile, the refills for C1 and C2 medications appear as none and the refills for C3, C4, and C5 medications are limited to five. In NextGen® Mobile, open the Hub module. Select Refill Requests.The Refills view opens listing the refill requests. Refills details view By default, the list displays the oldest to newest requests with the oldest on top of the list. Select Oldest to reverse the order. Note: The refill requests also appear as tasks in the Hub view. You can select a particular task to open the Refill Request view. In the Refills view, locate the patient and medication that you plan to refill. The selected entry must be marked with Matched Refill. Select the patient entry.T

Deny a Refill

Refill requests appear on your Refills view. In NextGen® Mobile, open the Hub module. Select Refill Requests. The Refills view appears listing the refill requests. By default, the list is ordered from oldest to newest with the oldest on top of the list. In the Refills view, locate the patient and medication that you plan to deny. The selected entry must be marked with Matched Refill. Select the patient entry. The Refill Request view opens. Refill Request view Select Deny. The Deny message appears. To add a non-clinical note to the pharmacy, select in the Add note to pharmacy and enter a text note in the field. Select the Reason for denying field and select a denial reason. If none of the reasons apply, you can select Custom Denial Reason and select a custom denial reason in the eRx Custom Denial Reason field. Deny an eRx Refill Request from the Manage Refills Window

You can deny an eRx refill request task from the Manage Refills window in the Medications module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. To view the Medications module for the patient, select Medications from the Quick Buttons panel. If NextGen® Enterprise EHR detects a new eRx refill request for the patient, the Manage Refills window opens, where you can view the refill requests details of the patient. To view the details of the refill request, select the refill request and select Details. The Refill Response Details window opens. To select a denial reason for the refill request, do one of the following: Select Deny Refill and select a reason from the list. Right-click the request, select Deny Refill, and then select a reason from the list. Deny Refill Note: If you configure custom denial reasons, NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes eRx custom denial reasons in the denial reasons list. Resolve Denied eRx Refill Request

When you receive an eRx refill request and deny the request with the reason as Denial – New Prescription to follow, the Resolve Denied Refills link appears on the Send Prescription window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and open Medications module. Select a medication where the eRx refill request was denied with the Denial - New Prescription to follow reason. Select View Denied Refills. The Deny New To Follow window opens. Deny New To Follow Select Details to open and view the Refill Request Details window. Select Close. To remove the denied refill from the list, select Remove. The Remove medication from queue window opens stating the confirmation message. Do one of the following: To remove the medication from the list, select Yes. To return to the Deny New to Follow window without removing the medication, select No. Select Close. Deny eRx Refill Request from the Workflow Module

You can deny an eRx refill request task from the Workflow module. When you deny an eRx refill request, NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends a message to the pharmacy informing about the denial. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. The refill request details and patient information appears. Refill Request Select Deny. The reasons for denial appear. Note: If you configure custom denial reasons, NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes eRx custom denial reasons in the denial reasons list. Match Prescription Information on eRx Refill Requests

From the Refill Request Patient Matching window, you can match a prescription and add it to the patient's chart. Note: You must have prescribing rights to add the unmatched prescription to the patient's chart. Double-click an Unmatched Refill Reqs task, or select an Unmatched Refill Reqs, and then select Open. Workfow The Refill Request Patient Matching window opens. Refill Request Patient Matching Select the prescription to match. The data included in the refill request opens. Refill Request Patient Matching Select Lookup. A confirmation message Unmatched Prescription appears to create the medication entry, if does not exist. To create the medication entry on the patient's chart, do one of the following: Select Yes. Select Create Medication Entry on the Refill Request Patient Matching window. The medication is added to the patient's chart. The status of the prescription is changed to Matched and is displayed under Successfully Matched. When the medication entry is successfully matched
