Add a Medication

Click Add under the Medications grid. The Medications Module opens. On the Medications Module, click Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. Type the name in the Find field. As you type additional letters, the search is refined to match what you have entered. Double-click on the medication to add it to the Selected Medications grid. If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a dialog box opens for you to acknowledge those. Once you have added all medications, click Select. This enters the medications in the Medications Module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If applicable, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box. Click Accept. Click the X in the upper right of the window to close the Medications Module. Document Medications Module

The Medications module enables you to prescribe, print, fax, and e-prescribe (requires enrollment) patient medications. In the Interview Questions panel, click the Medications link. The Medication Module window opens. Click Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. In Find, enter the partial or full name of the medication to be prescribed to the patient and click Search. A list of medications matching the search criteria appears in the left pane. Select a medicine from the list and click Select to return to the Medications module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If this medication is prescribed elsewhere, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box and enter the source in the Source field. Click Accept. Close Medication Module window. Document a Medication

You can add medications details for the treatment of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, in the Medications panel, select Add /Update. The Medication Module window opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. Search for a medicine from the list, and then select Select. Enter the start and stop date of the medication that the patient needs to take. Enter the quantity of the medication. To mention when and how the patient can take the medication, select Edit Sig:. Enter the number of refills allowed on the prescription of the patient. Enter the problem of the patient. If the medications are already prescribed, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box. Select Accept. Close the Medication module. In the Medications panel, to enter additional information about the medications, select the Comment link.
