Medications Panel on the ASC - Intake Template

The patient's medication details documented on the ASC -Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template appear in the Medications panel of the ASC - Intake template. For information on the Medications module documentation, see Medications Module. The intake staff reviews and makes the necessary changes to the patient's medication details as appropriate on the ASC - Intake template. You can view the patient's active medications and the medications prescribed, modfied, and renewed during the selected encounter in the Medications panel. You can enter additional prescriptions for the patient, and reconcile the medications listed with what medications the patient is actually consuming and how the patient is consuming them. Document a Medication

In the Medications panel, click Add/Update below the Medications grid to document the patient's current medications. The Medications module opens. Click Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Search and select a medicine from the list, and then click Select. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. Select the Prescribed elsewhere check box, if applicable. Click Accept. Close the Medication module. Note: If applicable, click the Comment link to launch the Medication Comment template. Do not use this template to list medications that the patient is consuming. You can use the template as a temporary location to list all the unknown medications that the patient is consuming. Document Medications

You can document the medications to prescribe to a patient using the Medications module. Open the Intake - Dermatology template. In the Medications panel, click Add Medications. The Medication Module window opens. Click Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Search and select a medicine from the list, and then click Select. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. Select the Prescribed elsewhere check box, if applicable. Click Accept. Close the Medication module. To enter any comments about the medications, on the Medications section, click the Comment link. Note: You must not use the medication comment template to list the patient's current medications. You can use the template as a temporary location to list the patient's unknown medications, and enter the additional details. The color of the Medication Comment link changes. Document Medications

In the Medications panel, select Add/Update.The Medications module opens. Select Prescribe New.The Medication Search template opens. Search for and select a medicine from the list. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date details. Select the Prescribed elsewhere checkbox, if applicable. Select Accept. Close the Medications module. Note: If applicable, you can select the Comment link to open the Medication Comment template. You must not use the Medication Comment template to list medications the patient is consuming. You can use the Medication Comment template as a temporary location to list all the unknown medications the patient is consuming along with the dosage and sig details. Document Medications Module

The Medications module allows you to prescribe, print, fax, and e-prescribe (requires enrollment) patient medications. In the Interview Questions panel, select the Medications link.The Medication Module window opens. Select Prescribe New.The Medication Search window opens. In Find, enter the partial or full name of the medication to be prescribed to the patient and select Search.A list of medications matching the search criteria appears in the left pane. Select a medicine from the list and select Select to return to the Medications module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If this medication is prescribed elsewhere, select the Prescribed elsewhere checkbox and enter the source in the Source field. Select Accept. Close Medication Module window. Add Medication in the Medication Module

Select Prescribe New option in the Medication module. In the Medication Search window, search a medication and click Select.
