Pre-Procedure Care Panel on the ASC - Preprocedure Template

The Pre-procedure Care panel is used to document patient's Consent, Bill of Rights, preferred language, pre-procedure checklist, and any lab and/or medication details. The Allergies link opens the Allergies module to document the allergies details. The Medications link opens the Medications module to enter the patient's medication details. For information on the Medications module documentation, see Medications Module. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, the details documented in this panel in the current encounter carry forward to the next encounter. Document the Interview Questions Panel

You can enter the questions for patients using the Interview Questions panel. Expand the Interview Questions panel. The Allergies link opens the Allergies module. For more information, see Add the Allergy Details in Medication Allergies Module. The Medications links opens the Medications module. For more information, see Document the Patient's Medications. In the Answer field, select the appropriate answer for the question available in the Question field. An asterisk (*) appears to the left of the selected answer. Enter any Comment for the question being asked. You can enter comments without selecting an answer for the question. An alert message appears if the question is associated with an alert. Review the alert message and select OK. Note: An alert is pre-configured for the question in the ASC Preadmission Activity Config practice template. The General panel is used to document the physician or clinician name who submitted the report and recovery admission time. Medications

You can document and manage the medication history and current medications of a patient. You can use the Medications panel to view the patient's current medications and medication history, enter additional prescriptions for the patient, and reconcile the medications listed with the actual active medications for the patient. You can use the No medications this encounter checkbox if there are no active medications for the patient. Medications Panel You can reconcile the medications for the patient using the Medications reconciled checkbox, and indicate that you have received the summary of care for the patient using the Summary of care received checkbox. Document Medications Module

The Medications module allows you to prescribe, print, fax, and e-prescribe (requires enrollment) patient medications. In the Interview Questions panel, select the Medications link.The Medication Module window opens. Select Prescribe New.The Medication Search window opens. In Find, enter the partial or full name of the medication to be prescribed to the patient and select Search.A list of medications matching the search criteria appears in the left pane. Select a medicine from the list and select Select to return to the Medications module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If this medication is prescribed elsewhere, select the Prescribed elsewhere checkbox and enter the source in the Source field. Select Accept. Close Medication Module window. Document a Medication

You can add medications details for the treatment of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake or SOAP template. In the Medications panel, select Add /Update.The Medication Module window opens. Select Prescribe New.The Medication Search window opens. Search for a medicine from the list, and then select Select. Enter the start and stop date of the medication that the patient needs to take. Enter the quantity of the medication. To mention when and how the patient can take the medication, select Edit Sig:. Enter the number of refills allowed on the prescription of the patient. Enter the problem of the patient. If the medications are already prescribed, select the Prescribed elsewhere checkbox. Select Accept. Close the Medication module. In the Medications panel, to enter additional information about the medications, select the Comment link.
