View Medication Specific Details in the Care Guidelines Paged View Template

You can view the medication specific details in the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Before you begin You must configure an order for the created medication guideline, and add a problem and the medication details to view the medication specific details in the Care Guidelines Paged Viewtemplate. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select Open Template for an encounter.The Select Template window opens. Select All, and then select Care Guidelines Paged View. Care Guidelines Paged View template The configured medication details appear. Select Refresh if the configured medication details are not available.The details configured in the Medications module must match the values in the Medication Specific template for the guidelines to appear in the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Add Problems to the Problems Module

You can add a problem to the Problem module to make the relevant details appear in the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Before you begin To view medication specific details in the Care Guidelines template, you need to add a problem and medication details for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart, and create an encounter. Open the Problems module. Select Add ICD. Select a category, and then search for and select an ICD code relevant to the indication selected in the Medication Specific template.The details appear in the grid. Select the status, and then select Accept. Add a Medication

Click Add under the Medications grid. The Medications Module opens. On the Medications Module, click Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. Type the name in the Find field. As you type additional letters, the search is refined to match what you have entered. Double-click on the medication to add it to the Selected Medications grid. If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a dialog box opens for you to acknowledge those. Once you have added all medications, click Select. This enters the medications in the Medications Module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If applicable, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box. Click Accept. Click the X in the upper right of the window to close the Medications Module. Document Medications

You can document the medications to prescribe to a patient using the Medications module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake or SOAP template. In the Medications panel, select Add/Update.The Medications module opens. Select Prescribe New.The Medication Search template opens. Search for and select a medicine from the list. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date details. Select the Prescribed elsewhere checkbox, if applicable. Select Accept. Close the Medications module. Note: If applicable, you can select the Comment link to open the Medication Comment template. You must not use the Medication Comment template to list medications the patient is consuming. You can use the Medication Comment template as a temporary location to list all the unknown medications the patient is consuming along with the dosage and sig details. You can launch the Medication module from this template to prescribe and manage medication. Select the Medications button. The Medication module opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Type the medication name in the Find field. As you type more letters of the name, the search is refined to match what you have entered. When you find the medication, double-click on it to add it to the Selected Medications grid. Add Diagnosis Groups

You can add diagnosis from the Diagnosis Group link in the Medication Specific template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guidelines Setup template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel. Select the Medication (Specific) link.The Medication Specific template opens. In the Medication Specific template, select Diagnosis Group. Expand the Manage Reference Systems, Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel, and then in the Add Diagnosis Group section, enter a new diagnosis group name and description. Select a system to associate with the diagnosis group from Reference System. Optional: If available, enter a URL in Reference website or Order set website.
