Add Diagnosis Groups

You can add diagnosis from the Diagnosis Group link in the Medication Specific template.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. From File, select System \ Practice Template.
    The Select Template window opens.
  3. On the Practice tab, select the All option.
  4. Select Care Guidelines Setup, and then select OK.
    The Care Guidelines Setup template opens.
  5. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel.
  6. Select the Medication (Specific) link.
    The Medication Specific template opens.
  7. In the Medication Specific template, select Diagnosis Group.
  8. Expand the Manage Reference Systems, Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel, and then in the Add Diagnosis Group section, enter a new diagnosis group name and description.
  9. Select a system to associate with the diagnosis group from Reference System.
  10. Optional: If available, enter a URL in Reference website or Order set website.
  11. Select Restrict code for code restrictions, and then select Add/Update.
  12. Select Save.
    The guideline reason and order are saved, and the Care Guidelines Setup template closes.
