Configure Orders for Specific Medication Guidelines

You can configure an order for the created guideline to be triggered for the specific medication.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. From File, select System \ Practice Template.
   The Select Template window opens.
3. On the Practice tab, select the All option.
4. Select Care Guidelines Setup, and then select OK.
   The Care Guidelines Setup template opens.
5. In the Intervention/Order Setup panel, select Medication for Reason type.
6. In Condition/Reason, select the created guideline reason.
7. In Intervention/Test type, select instructions.
8. Enter an intervention or test name, and then select a standard interval for the guideline.
9. Select Add.
10. Select Save & Close.
    The guideline reason and order are saved, and the Care Guidelines Setup template closes.
