Add a Medication

  1. Click Add under the Medications grid.
    The Medications Module opens.
  2. On the Medications Module, click Prescribe New.
    The Medication Search window opens.
  3. Type the name in the Find field.
    As you type additional letters, the search is refined to match what you have entered.
  4. Double-click on the medication to add it to the Selected Medications grid.
    If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a dialog box opens for you to acknowledge those.
  5. Once you have added all medications, click Select.
    This enters the medications in the Medications Module.
  6. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list.
  7. If applicable, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box.
  8. Click Accept.
  9. Click the X in the upper right of the window to close the Medications Module.
