Manual Vaccine Entry

You can enter vaccines into the Immunizations grid manually using the fields below the grid. To make data entry more efficient, the Quick Add functionality is set up for these fields to open subsequent picklists automatically, after each selection. The exceptions are the Lot No, Qty and Exp Date fields. To enter values in these fields you must Select on them.

  1. Select the field below the Manufacturer column of the grid.
The MLTS Imms Manufacturer picklist opens. It lists all of the manufacturers in the NextGen First Databank Medication Library.
  2. Select the manufacturer from the picklist and select OK.
The MLTS Imms List picklist for the Inventory Description field opens.
  3. Select the immunization description from the picklist and select OK.
The description enters the Inventory Description field, and the CPT code enters the CPT field.

The MLTS Imms Ndc List picklist for the NDC field opens.

  4. Select an NDC from the picklist and select OK.
  5. Select the field below the Lot No. column and enter the lot number.
  6. Select the field below the Qty column and enter the quantity on hand.
  7. Select the field below the Exp Date column.
    A calendar window opens.
  8. Find and highlight the expiration date in the calendar and select OK.
  9. Select the field below the Location column.
    The INF LocMstr picklist opens.
  10. Select the location and select OK.
If Sub-locations are enabled for the practice, the Sub-Location field picklist opens.
  11. Select the sub-location and select OK.
The MLTS Source DBPL picklist opens.
  12. Select the source and Select OK.
  13. If the immunization is a multi-dose, mark the check box below the Multi-Dose column of the grid.

  14. Select Add.

The vaccine is added to the grid. The system runs a check on the entry. If all field entries are correct, the Send to Main? column entry is Y (Yes). Otherwise, the Send to Main? column entry will be N (No).
