Adding General Information for Eye Injections
You can add general information for documenting eye injection procedures on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. The following table describes the fields and links appearing above the Today’s Assessments panel on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, which are used to add general information for eye injection procedures. Documenting Eye Injections
You can document procedure and medication information for eye injection procedures in the OD Injection and OS Injection panels on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. You can document the medication information for up to two medications for an eye injection. You can also document patient's response for the documented injection in the Patient Response section. Document Procedure Information for Eye Injections You can manually document procedure information for an eye injection or using a Quickpick. Documenting Ophthalmology Injections
You can document ophthalmology injection procedures for a patient on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. On the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, you can document procedure information, medications administered, and the patient's response for eye injection procedures. You can use the fields appearing before the Today’s Assessments panel to add the general details for documenting eye injection procedures. You can also use the sections after the Injection 2 panel to document follow-up information and view the injection history. The following table describes the panels on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. Document Procedure Information for Eye Injections
Note: The picklists for many of the fields open sequentially on selecting a value in the previous field. However, you can change your selection in any of the fields by selecting another value. Open the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, and then do one of the following: To document the right-eye-injection procedure, expand the OD Injection panel. To document the left-eye-injection procedure, expand the OS Injection panel. Injection panel on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template In Admin Type, select the type of injection. The CPT details automatically appear based on the admin type selected. In Med. Necessity, select the reason for the injection procedure. Select a category. To associate a diagnosis code with the procedure, select a diagnosis. Note: If you use NextGen® Orthopedic Suite, you must not enter diagnosis codes in the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. Diagnosis codes are applied in the Finalize Visit template. Optional: To associate a second diagnosis code with the procedure, select Sec Dx. In A
