Document Eye Injections Using QuickPicks

You can document procedure and medication details for eye injections using QuickPicks that you built and saved previously. Note: You must select a Sub-location, If sub-locations are turned on for your practice. Open the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. To open the rendering provider’s QuickPicks, select star , or to open System Sets and other providers’ QuickPicks, select double-star. A picklist opens, displaying available QuickPicks. Select a QuickPick from the list, and then select OK. The information appears into the fields of the panels as it was saved, with the Lot # field saying Required. Injection panel on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template In the Lot # field, select lot number for medications. The expiration date automatically appear in Expiration Date. The DUR check window opens, displaying all the possible interactions for the selected medicine. Select the interactions you want to acknowledge, enter the reason, and select Acknowledge. Documenting Eye Injections

You can document procedure and medication information for eye injection procedures in the OD Injection and OS Injection panels on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. You can document the medication information for up to two medications for an eye injection. You can also document patient's response for the documented injection in the Patient Response section. You can document medication details for an injection administered by your practice. Document Medication Details by Scanning Barcode

You can document medication details for an eye injection procedure by scanning the barcode printed on the medication package. Note: You must select a Sub-location, If sub-locations are turned on for your practice. Open the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, and then do one of the following: To document the right-eye-injection procedure, expand the OD Injection panel. To document the left-eye-injection procedure, expand the OS Injection panel. Injection panel on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template Select Scan Barcode. Scan the medication barcode printed on the medication package. Note: If the inventory contains multiple medications matching the scanned barcode in the inventory, a list of medications appears, where for you tocan select the requirednecessary medication. You can document medications being dispensed, if you do not need to bill for their administration in the Medication Dispensing panel on the MICS Dispensing template. You can document up to six dispensed medications at one time. Document On the Fly Medications for Eye Injections

You can document "on the fly medications" administered for an eye injection procedure. Before you begin You must configure the permission to add medications on the fly, for your user group in the Medication & Billing Configuration system template. Open the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, and then do one of the following: To document the right-eye-injection procedure, expand the OD Injection panel.
