Add Historical Assessments from the Billing Diagnosis History Grid

If the assessment that you want to add is in the Billing Diagnosis History grid, select it. Select Add/Update. The assessment enters the Today’s Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Select Save & Close to add the assessments to the Today’s Assessments grid on the MICS Med/Admin OPH template. If the assessments that you want to add are not in the Billing Diagnosis History grid, you can add them from the Add common assessment or the Diagnosis Code Lookup link below the grid. Add New Assessments From Common Assessments Page

If the assessments that you want to add are not in the Billing Diagnosis History grid, you can add them from the Add common assessment link below the grid. Select the Add common assessment link. The Common Assessment template opens. If the page is blank or shows a common assessment page other than the one you want to use, do the following: Click the Common assessments field. The Get Assessment Page picklist opens. Find the assessment page you need in the list. Select the page and click OK. The template shows the diagnoses and codes for the selected page. Select on all assessments that you want to add to today’s encounter. Assessments display in the grid. Select Save & Close . Assessments you select appear in the Billing Diagnosis History grid. For each assessment that you want to add to Today’s Assessment s, select it and then Click Add/Update. The assessment enters the Today’s Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Add New Assessments Using the Diagnosis Code Lookup Link

If the assessments that you want to add are not in the Billing Diagnosis History grid, you can add them from the Diagnosis Code Lookup link below the grid. Select the Diagnosis Code Lookup link. The diagnosis search window opens. Do one or both of the following, as needed. Enter any string of characters that may be in the clinical description for the diagnosis, and click Search. Scroll to find the diagnosis in the right-hand list. Highlight the diagnosis. Select Select. The Diagnosis search window closes and the diagnosis you selected appears in the Billing Diagnosis History grid. Select Add/Update to add the diagnosis to Today’s Assessments. When all assessments are in the Today’s Assessments grid, click Save & Close. All assessments in the Today’s Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template are entered into the Today’s Assessments grid on the MICS Med/Admin OPH template. Access the Add or Update Assessment Template

Select the Add/Update button below the Today’s Assessment grid on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. The Add or Update Assessment template opens. Diagnoses already attached to treatments for this patient appear in the Billing Diagnosis History grid in the upper left. Note: The Add or Update Assessment template is part of a template set, the templates of which are indicated and accessed by the tabs along the top of the window. Today’s Assessments

The Today’s Assessments grid shows diagnoses added or used on today’s visit. You can add other diagnosis codes to this grid from the Add or Update Assessment template. Using the Assessments Tab

The Assessments tab in the My Plan template set houses the Add or Update Assessment template. The grids on the Assessments tab can be filtered. For example, in the Billing Diagnosis History section, selecting the Show Chronic only check box displays only those diagnoses that are not acute. Selecting the option to Add Assessments on 1 click speeds up the documentation process by including the diagnosis description and code for Today's Assessment in the grid and Problems module without having to click Add/Update. The Medications or Immunizations links can be used at any time during the encounter to access the associated module.
