Turn Patient Synchronization On or Off

With patient synchronization turned on, an active patient in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Optical Management appears in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, if a patient's chart is open in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Optical Management, it automatically opens in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR,
  2. Select Tools > Preferences, and then select the General tab.
  3. In Synchronization Settings, select or clear the Suspend patient synchronization checkbox.
  4. Select OK.
