NextGen® Enterprise EHR
and open the medication module.
Select the medication.
Select
Print
on the medications toolbar.
If the
Prescribe Elsewhere
check box is selected, the
Print

Fax
, and
eRx
buttons are unavailable.
The
Print
window opens.

, select to print the
Selected Medication Only
or
All Medications for Current Encounter
.
For
Printer
, select a printer or select the ellipsis button to open the
Browse
window.
Do one of the following:

to print.

Preview
to preview the prescription.

to exit without printing.
If you select

, the
Prescription Preview
opens.
Do one of the following:

at the bottom of the screen to print the prescription.
To exit without printing the prescription, select

Print Prescriptions
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the medication module. Select the medication. Select Print on the medications toolbar. If the Prescribe Elsewhere check box is selected, the Print, Fax, and eRx buttons are unavailable. The Print window opens. Print For Medication, select to print the Selected Medication Only or All Medications for Current Encounter. For Printer, select a printer or select the ellipsis button to open the Browse window. Do one of the following: Select Print to print. Select Preview to preview the prescription. Select Cancel to exit without printing. If you select Preview, the Prescription Preview opens. Printing Patient Prescriptions
You can print a prescription to hand over to the patient. The following apply: If you print or fax a controlled substance prescription, you can no longer ePrescribe the prescription. If you ePrescribe a controlled substance, you can print or fax the prescription. The printed or faxed report must indicate that the printed or faxed copy is "not for dispensing." If you ePrescribe a controlled substance and the transmission fails, you can print or fax the prescription. The printed or faxed report must display a message that states the prescription was originally sent electronically to a pharmacy. The pharmacy’s name, and the date and time of the eRx message must display. The message must also show that the eRx message failed. If the Verify PIN Universal Preference is set to True, you are required to provide Medication Verification when printing a patient prescription. View and Print Medication Education
A majority of medications in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR database have corresponding educational information associated with them in the form of a drug monograph. When you prescribe a medication, you can view and print the monograph to provide the educational information to the patient. Note: The viewing and printing of a drug monograph is audited. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module and access a patient with medication information. Do one of the following: Right-click a medication and select Resources > Monograph. Select Resources > Monograph from the Medications toolbar. From the Medication Search window, right-click a medication and select Resources > Monograph. The Medication Monograph window displays information regarding the selected medication. To adjust the size of the Medication Monograph, select a percentage from the Zoom list. Print Patient Documents
You can print one or more documents that you have generated. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, generate a new patient document, or open an existing patient document. If desired, preview the patient document before you print it. From the Menu bar, select File > Print, or select the Print icon on the Document bar in the viewer. If you have not previously saved your document, the Save Document window opens. Select OK. The Print window opens. Select the desired printer. To print a group of patient documents, use the Custom Print\Fax function in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select OK to print your document.
