Configure Data Share Module Settings

You can configure settings that affect all users of the Data Share module. To configure these settings, your account must have the OPERATIONS > Medical Summary/Data Share > Allow Options Edit right enabled in System Administrator. Note: Data Share module settings also affect the Medical Summary Utility. In the Data Share pane, select Open the Data Share Settings Slider Open the Data Share Settings Slider. Export CCDs and C-CDAs

The Data Share module gives you control over each file exports, including the destination, document types, clinical information, and attachments. Note: The Export tab is able to initiate various types of exports, including simple referrals. However, if you want to initiate a closed loop referral, you must use the Closed Loop Referrals tab. Areas to Fill In On Export Tab Do one of the following: To export most Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents, select the Export tab. To export a public health case report, select Send Public Health Case Report in the toolbar. To update a document, select Create Addendum or Create Replacement while viewing a previously exported item on the Home pane. The Export tab opens. Using the Data Share Module to Import and Export Clinical Data

You can use the Data Share module, a feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) files to and from designated folders and exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions such as regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and the Health Information Systems Program (HISP). This Data Share module serves the same function as the Medical Summary Utility but provides a simpler user interface and superior performance. The Medical Summary Utility continues to be available, but its use is deprecated. An earlier version of the Data Share module provided access only to the NextGen® Share Carequality Service. The old version is still available for the convenience of existing users. Importing CCDs and C-CDAs

In the Data Share module, you can import Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents from external systems or from folders. Import from External Systems In the Data Share module, you can search endpoints for documents and then select the documents that you want to import. Import from a Folder You can use the Data Share module to import Continuity of Care Document (CCD), Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or Cross-enterprise Document Media Interchange (XDM) documents from a folder on a hard disk or portable media device. Import from a Folder

You can use the Data Share module to import documents from a folder on a hard disk or portable media device. These documents can be Continuity of Care Document (CCD), Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or Cross-enterprise Document Media Interchange (XDM) documents. In the Data Share pane, select the Open a CCD File or XDM Document icon. Open a CCD File or XDM Document The Import From File window opens. Import From File Select an endpoint, which determines which external system is used for cross-references and which agents are used to process the document on import. Use the ellipsis button to browse to a file. Select Import. If the CCD Encryption Password window opens, enter the password supplied by the document provider, and select OK.
