A mismatched file format can occur when:
- A document that is not in plain text is opened as a plain text file.
- A document is saved in the wrong file format in the database; for example, the value stored in the database is .docx; but the format is actually .rtf. In these cases, the system attempts to determine the actual format of the document and load it.
