You can view the existing patient documents on the Encounter History or the Categories tab.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
- Select the appropriate encounter on the Encounter History tab and select the
icon.
The Encounter Details window opens.
The icon to the left indicates the signoff status.
If you do not see the document icon, select
button on the Encounter History or the Categories tab.
- Select the document link to open the document in the designated viewer.
Note: If the system detects a possible mismatched file format, it attempts to determine the actual format of the document and load it. If the document does not display properly, you can change the file format in the database to match the format in which the document has opened, or you can select a different document viewer.
- To close the document, select File and select Close.
