Viewing CDA Documents in Custom View

Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents can contain hundreds of sections. To help you focus on the most important sections for your daily work, the Custom View tab supports the following subset of CDA sections that contain the most critical information:

  • Demographics
  • Header
  • Medications
  • Meds Administered
  • Allergies
  • Problems
  • Immunizations
  • Results
  • Encounters
  • Vital Signs
  • Procedures
  • Family History
  • Social History
  • Advanced Directives
  • Medical Equipment
  • Payers
  • Reason for Referral
  • Discharge Summary Note
  • Consultation Note
  • History And Physical Note
  • Progress Note

To see any of the sections not supported in the Custom View tab, refer to the Full View tab.

  • Features of the Custom View You can use the Custom View tab to go to a specific section; reorder, filter, or sign off sections; send a section as a task; or open the Clinical Reconciliation module.
  • Configure General Options for Custom View You can use general options to control the appearance and behavior for all documents, not just the currently open document, in the Custom View in CDA Viewer.
  • By default, the CDA Viewer resizes the columns automatically when you resize the whole application window or the CDA Viewer.
  • You can create filters to specify which Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) sections appear in the Custom View in CDA Viewer. With filters, long documents load faster, and you can find information more quickly.
  • You can save filtered views of a C-CDA to a patient's chart and view them later.
  • One-Click Reconciliation One-click reconciliation enables you to import data from the Custom View tab in the CDA Viewer.
