Select an Immunizations Order Filter

If you select Immunizations Order Type, you can generate various reports by selecting the appropriate Immunizations filters. Examples of some of the types of immunization reports you might need to generate follow:

  • Patients who have had a particular vaccine within a certain time period.
  • All immunizations completed on a specific date.
  • Immunizations marked as an error for the current date.
  • Vaccines that have been ordered but not yet administered.

    Vaccine for Children (VFC) Immunizations information. For example, a report that lists American Indian or Alaskan natives who are VFC-eligible and have received VFC Immunizations by a certain date.

  1. Select Orders from the Report Filter Settings List.

  2. Select Immunizations from the Select Order Type list.

  3. Select the Performing Entity (registry) from the list.
  4. If necessary, select to display the Registries Search window.

  5. Select a registry, if necessary, and select OK.
  6. Select a Vaccine name from the list or select to search for a vaccine.
    The Vaccine Search window opens.

    • To search for a vaccine, enter the Description and select Search.
    • To search for a vaccine by Vaccine display name, such as MMR, enter the Vaccine name in Description, select Search by Display Name, and select Search.
  7. Select the appropriate vaccines and select OK.
  8. Filter the Immunizations Order by Order Date, NextGen Status, Provider, Vaccine Status, Completion Date, Lot Number, or administration information.
  9. Filter Immunizations Orders that were given by a verbal order (Y) or not (N), if necessary.
  10. Filter Immunizations Orders that were marked as an error (Y) or not (N), if necessary.
  11. If your practice administers immunizations to VFC-eligible patients, you can filter Immunizations Orders for these patients. Two examples follow.
    • To display all VFC-eligible patients who received immunizations, select Yes from the Indicator List and the Completion Date.
    • To display VFC-eligible patients by specific VFC categories (such as State Specific eligibility or VFC-uninsured), search and select the appropriate VFC Reason from the VFC Reasons Search window.
  12. To search for a VFC Reason:
    • In the Immunizations section, select corresponding to VFC Reasons.
    • Enter the Description and select Search.
    • From the Search results, select the appropriate VFC reasons you wish to display on the report and select OK.

  13. Select any additional filters, such as Completion Date, Verbal Order, and the Indicator.

  14. Select Columns from the Settings List and select the appropriate columns.
  15. If necessary, select Sorting or other report display options from the Report Filter.
  16. To view the report data in alternate shading, select Alternate Shading.
  17. Select Save.
  18. To generate the report, select OK.
