Order Procedures

You can order procedures in the Cardiac orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select Procedures.The Procedure Order template opens. Procedure Order Select a procedure from the Non-Invasive or Invasive section. Based on the selected procedure, additional fields appear in the Description section. Select the appropriate options from the Description section. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following. To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to associate it with the procedure.Depending on the procedure, if required, you can add comments in the Additional Information field. Create Immunization Order from the Vaccine Category Favorites

You can use create an immunization record from the Vaccine Category favorites. For more information on setting up vaccine category favorites, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Immunizations.The Immunizations template opens. Select New. On Create New Immunization Order, click the Imm tab. Select the appropriate category from the Favorites.Vaccines grouped in the category appear within the selected pane. Create New Immunization Order - Category Select an immunization from the list.Selected vaccines appear in the lower pane of Create New Immunization Order template. Note: If the Review Allergies option is set to Yes, the Review Allergies window opens and allergies need to be reviewed before continuing. Managing Cardiac Orders

You can view cardiac orders, such as doctor visits, lab tests, procedures, enroll in (for enrolling a patient into one or more cardiac clinics, such as a Lipid clinic), counseling, and immunizations on the Cardiac Orders panel. You can also view the pending orders and medication changes. The best practice is to allow only eligible professionals to enter orders and this may or may not include nurses and technicians. The nurses and technicians can use the Checkout template to review and process orders because the patient does not see the doctor at intake. Cardiac Orders Document Doctor Visits You can document doctor visits by type. For ease of use, you can configure appointment locations on the Card Setup Appt Locations practice template. Generate a Report of Vaccinated Patients

You can use the NextGen® Enterprise EHR reporting tool to generate a report of vaccinated patients that can be used for tracking purposes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. From the File menu, select Reports > Generate Reports > by Practice.The NextGen Report Filter: Patient window opens. Under Settings List, select Orders. To create an immunization report, select Immunization in the Select Order Type list.
