Confirm Changes

Once you have decided which actions to perform you must confirm your changes for each clinical data type (Medications, Medication Allergies, and so on). Once you confirm your changes, the Clinical Reconciliation module updates the patient's chart. It does not update the information in the Import section or the imported document. Reconcile clinical data. Resolve Missing or Incorrect Data. Resolve duplicate items. Resolve medication contraindications or drug interactions. Acknowledge medication deletions. Initiate Confirmation of Changes

Process items in the Import section Process items in the EHR section. Match or unmatch clinical items as needed. To accept and apply the matches that you have made, select Confirm. Confirm Button If no problems occur, then the Clinical Reconciliation module processes the selected changes and displays a message stating that the selected changes were saved successfully. Alternately, a warning may appear, stating that the implantable devices to be imported contain linked procedures, and that you should complete the Procedures reconciliation prior to adding or replacing the implantable devices. Select one of the following: Select OK to import the implantable device is imported. The connection to the linked procedure is lost. Select Cancel to return to the Clinical Reconciliation module, where you can go to the Procedures tab and perform reconciliation for the linked procedure. Then you can select Confirm again to import the implantable device without losing its link to the procedure. If ot

Resolve Missing or Incorrect Data

If a clinical item that you selected for import has missing or incorrect data, a search window appears and, if available, displays a list of potential matches. If the item does not appear on the list or the application cannot find any potential matches, you can perform a search. Search for Matches Perform a search: Select Clear. Enter a full or partial description. If the entry is fewer than five letters, select the Enter key. If the entry is five letters or more, the application performs the search automatically. The application displays a list of potential matches. For Medications and Meds Administered, you can select a Medication Search Type (all, brand name, or generic) to filter results. Do one of the following: To select an item and continue processing, select an item in the grid and then select OK. To select another item or perform another search, select Cancel. Resolve Medication Contraindications or Drug Interactions

If a medication item that you selected for import has contraindications or interactions, the Drug Interaction window appears. Drug Interaction Window Either confirm the contraindication/drug interaction message or choose to send an alert containing drug interaction information to another provider in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: The application does not perform a drug interaction check for allergies, problems, immunizations or diagnosis codes. You can manually check for interactions in the pertinent NextGen® Enterprise EHR module after all reconciliation tasks are completed. To support the sending of alerts to providers, an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Workflow IREM Import agent must have previously been created and configured. Resolve Duplicate Items

If an item that you selected for import resembles an item that is already present in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, a Potential Duplication message appears. Either select Yes to add the item or select No to reset the item's action to Ignore. The application processes the selected changes and displays a message that the selected changes were saved successfully. Select OK to acknowledge the message. Reconcile a Single Item

Within each section, each item begins with an icon indicating the import status for that item. Import Status Icons Following are the icons that can appear, and the actions available for each. New New item. Select this button to open the one-click reconciliation window. Cannot Be Imported Item cannot be imported because it is missing critical data. Matched Item Item matched an item that is already in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To make any changes to this item, you must select the Import tab and use the full Clinical Reconciliation Module.
