Resolve Missing or Incorrect Data

If a clinical item that you selected for import has missing or incorrect data, a search window appears and, if available, displays a list of potential matches. If the item does not appear on the list or the application cannot find any potential matches, you can perform a search.

Search for Matches

  1. Perform a search:
    1. Select Clear.
    2. Enter a full or partial description. If the entry is fewer than five letters, select the Enter key. If the entry is five letters or more, the application performs the search automatically.
      The application displays a list of potential matches.

      For Medications and Meds Administered, you can select a Medication Search Type (all, brand name, or generic) to filter results.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • To select an item and continue processing, select an item in the grid and then select OK.
    • To select another item or perform another search, select Cancel.
    A message about the item lookup appears.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If you do not want to import the item but want to continue to process actions for other items, select OK.
    • If you want to perform another search or select another item, select Cancel.
    The application processes selected changes and displays a message that selected changes have been saved successfully.
  4. Select OK to acknowledge the message.
  5. Review the changes in the corresponding NextGen® Enterprise EHR clinical module and make changes as needed.
