Set up PAQ Refresh Preferences

You can set up the preferences for the PAQ items to refresh when required. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Refresh Items section, do one of the following: To refresh the items on the PAQ tab when it is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the PAQ when the PAQ tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open. This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To set a timer for refreshing the PAQ when the Workflow Module window is open, select Every X Minute(s). Then select the up or down arrow to enter the refresh interval in minutes. Use integers only. Note: You cannot enter a number lower than the value entered in the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preference for the Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ. If the value set in Universal Preferences is greater than 99, you cannot change it. 99 is

Set up Display of Pending Items in Patient Chart

You can select options to display pending documents and images in the patient's chart on the Encounter History tab. If your system is not set up to permanently delete all rejected documents and images, you can also select options to display them in the patient's chart. Contact your system administrator regarding permanent deletion of rejected documents and images. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Patient History Display section, select the following: Pending Documents Pending Images Rejected Documents (if not deleted) Rejected Images (if not deleted) Select OK. Overview of the Provider Approval Queue

You can use the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) in NextGen® Mobile to review and resolve PAQ items received from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view PAQ items by selecting PAQ on the Hub view or from the job list. You can sort the list to switch between newest or oldest items. You can use the PAQ filters to view the required items. Note: The PAQ window is available only if the PAQ is configured for the clinic’s NextGen® Enterprise EHR. NextGen® Mobile supports the following PAQ items: Lab orders NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents Images NextGen® Document Management scanned items SAP® Crystal Reports® You can view a PAQ item, and do the following: Sign off on the item Open the patient chart from the item Reject or reassign the item Add a note to the item Create tasks for yourself or other users from the item Note: You cannot create tasks for reports created with SAP® Crystal Reports®software. For items in the PAQ, you can perform: View items not ready for sign-off. Accept an item and sign-off on it with or without actions. Assign other users to sign off the document. Add comments. Reject an item. Reassign an item. Create a task for an item. Send documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. Place the patient on a recall list that is automatically sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns. Provider Approval Queue

The following lists all the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preferences. Preference Description Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ Limits the minimum refresh value that can be set in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR >Task Preferences, users cannot set the refresh value lesser than the value set in Universal Preferences. If the value set in Universal Preferences is >99, then the minimum value that can be set is 99. The value cannot be changed. Any numerical value is accepted. View Items Across Practices Enables you to view your PAQ items across practices when you are a provider who has access to multiple practices within an enterprise. You must manually set the option to view your PAQ items across practices. The value shows True if the preference is enabled and False if disabled.
