Set up PAQ Refresh Preferences

You can set up the preferences for the PAQ items to refresh when required. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Refresh Items section, do one of the following: To refresh the items on the PAQ tab when it is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the PAQ when the PAQ tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open. This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To set a timer for refreshing the PAQ when the Workflow Module window is open, select Every X Minute(s). Then select the up or down arrow to enter the refresh interval in minutes. Use integers only. Note: You cannot enter a number lower than the value entered in the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preference for the Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ. If the value set in Universal Preferences is greater than 99, you cannot change it. 99 is

PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Save an Action Set for PAQ Signoff with Actions

You can save the follow-up actions that are used for signing off pending PAQ items. Action sets are specific to the logged-on user. For practices that have clinical staff as delegates for the PAQ, these users can have their own action sets that apply across any provider’s PAQ that they are accessing. Action sets built in the PAQ are also available under the Actions list in the Workflow window Clinical Tasking tab for PAQ Action items. When you create an action set, you may also want to consider next-step actions to use on incoming tasks. Access the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. To save the action set for from the list, in the Pending tab, select the item. Select Sign-off with Actions in the toolbar. PAQ Setup

The PAQ in the Workflow module enables you an easy sign-off capability for documents, images, notes, NextGen® Document Management images, orders, SAP® Crystal Reports®, and HIE documents. You need to use the latest version of SAP Crystal Reports. You must enter user name and password to access the PAQ Workflow module. You can select one of the available items to review, accept, reject, or create a new task associated with the item. The PAQ is an optional feature, available in System Administrator. If your practice does not enable the PAQ to use, the functionality for existing Workflow module remains same. Provider Approval Queue

The following lists all the Provider Approval Queue Universal Preferences. Preference Description Minimum Refresh Rate for PAQ Limits the minimum refresh value that can be set in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR >Task Preferences, users cannot set the refresh value lesser than the value set in Universal Preferences. If the value set in Universal Preferences is >99, then the minimum value that can be set is 99. The value cannot be changed. Any numerical value is accepted. View Items Across Practices Enables you to view your PAQ items across practices when you are a provider who has access to multiple practices within an enterprise. You must manually set the option to view your PAQ items across practices. The value shows True if the preference is enabled and False if disabled.
