Set up the Sort Order for Items in Your Queue

From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Sort Items By section, do the following: Select one of the following sort criteria from the list. Set up Display of Pending Items in Patient Chart

You can select options to display pending documents and images in the patient's chart on the Encounter History tab. If your system is not set up to permanently delete all rejected documents and images, you can also select options to display them in the patient's chart. Contact your system administrator regarding permanent deletion of rejected documents and images. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Patient History Display section, select the following: Pending Documents Pending Images Rejected Documents (if not deleted) Rejected Images (if not deleted) Select OK. Set up the PAQ Date and Time Display Properties

You can set up PAQ date and time to display the various properties. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Date-Time section, select one of the following timestamps to display for PAQ items from the list: Create timestamp. Date/time of when the item was created. Modify timestamp. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Display Test Order Results in a Formatted View

On the Orders Summary tab select a completed test. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. Select the Formatted Results tab at the bottom of the Results panel. The results appear with the patient detail at the bottom of the Results panel. To print these details, select Print on the toolbar. Note: If you update a patient's demographic information in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Modify/Update Patient Information window, before you log out of the current session of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, this change may not be reflected in the patient's demographic information in Formatted Results. To display the updated demographic information on the Formatted Results tab, log out or exit NextGen® Enterprise EHR; and then log back on. Parent topic: Formatted Results Tab

Set Up the Order Type View for DM and the PAQ in File Maintenance

Select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > EHR > Practices > Preferences > Orders Module. Select All tab. In the Orders / Results Linking section, select Diagnostics/Radiology as the default view. In the Order Type and Default Source section, select the following options: Diagnostics/Radiology: Adaptive Content Engine Lab Orders: Adaptive Content Engine Referrals: Adaptive Content Engine In the Adaptive Content Engine Order Status Update Upon Sign-off section, select the following options: Diagnostic: Result Received Lab orders: Result Received Referrals: Completed To save your selections, select OK.
