Set up Display of Pending Items in Patient Chart

You can select options to display pending documents and images in the patient's chart on the Encounters tab. If your system is not set up to permanently delete all rejected documents and images, you can also select options to display them in the patient's chart. Contact your system administrator regarding permanent deletion of rejected documents and images. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Patient History Display section, select the following: Patient History Display section Pending Documents Pending Images Rejected Documents (if not deleted) Rejected Images (if not deleted) Select OK. Set up the Sort Order for Items in Your Queue

From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Sort Items By section, do the following: Select one of the following sort criteria from the list. Set up the PAQ Date and Time Display Properties

You can set up PAQ date and time to display the various properties. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Date-Time section, select one of the following timestamps to display for PAQ items from the list: Create timestamp. Date/time of when the item was created. Modify timestamp. Set up the Order Results View

You can select the default view for patient test results and include the test description. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Order Results section, do the following: To display the description of the test, select the Show Test Description check box. Select one of the following results view: Formatted View. Displays the test results with XML formatting and inherits the same features as the formatted Results tab of the Orders module. Grid View. Displays the results in a formatted grid. Document/Image View. Displays the document/image results in the left side of the preview pane and images/documents on the right side of the preview pane. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window allows you to set up custom preferences to do the following. PAQ Preferences window Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounters tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
