Disable Lab Signoff security	This preference controls the Sign-Off security for test orders. To require a user to enter the password when signing off a completed test, select False. If not password is needed to complete the sign-off, select True.

Set Up the Disable Lab Signoff Security Universal Preference

A System Administrator setting controls Sign-Off security for signing off on test orders. If you turn it ON (False), then when someone tries to sign-off on a completed test, they are required to enter a password before they can complete the sign-off. Open Sysytem Administrator and enter your credentials. Select View. Select Universal Preferences. Select Orders Group. Select Disable Lab Signoff Security. False means a password is required to complete the sign-off. True means no password is needed to complete the sign-off. Select to select True or False. Select OK. When in the Orders module, if you select Sign-off on the Orders toolbar, the validate window opens. You must enter the information in the fields before the Sign-off can be completed. Open Sysytem Administrator and enter your credentials. From the menu bar select View > Universal Preferences. Select Orders Group. The Orders Group Preferences window opens. For each preference, select it and define a value, if necessary. If you define or update a value, select OK to save it.
