Set Up Universal Preferences for the Orders Group

Open Sysytem Administrator and enter your credentials. From the menu bar select View > Universal Preferences. Select Orders Group. The Orders Group Preferences window opens. For each preference, select it and define a value, if necessary. If you define or update a value, select OK to save it. Orders Group Universal Preferences

There are a number of Universal Preferences that can be defined in the System Administrator application that control how items in LabAssign display and function. The following lists the Orders Group Universal Preferences. Preference Description Adult Immunization Schedule Includes the web link to the CDC site, which lists the Adult Immunization Schedule. If the CDC changes the web link, you can manually update this link. Catch Up Includes the web link to the CDC site, which lists the Immunizations Catch Up schedule. if the CDC changes the web link, you can manually update this link. Set Up the Provider Sign off Values for Orders and the PAQ

Order (Lab) results can be set up to display in the Provider Approval Queue to require sign off from a provider. Before you can use this function, you must have rights using the System Administrator. Open System Administrator and enter your credentials. Select the practice. Select View > Provider Signoff Setup. The Provider Signoff Setup window opens. Note: If you do not see the Provider Signoff Setup selection, select View, select System Info, and then turn on the Enable Provider Approval Queue check box. It should then show up in the View menu as one of the selections. Select one or more providers in the list, or select the All Providers check box to select providers. Select the Setup tab. Select the All Lab Results check box and select Use Encounter Provider or Use Ordering Provider. Select Save.
