Patient's Documented Immunizations Do Not Display

If a new patient has received previous immunizations and the system displays the No Known Immunization History check box on the Chart view toolbar, this scenario may occur due to the following: The patient’s Immunization vaccine series is not marked complete. The patient’s immunizations are administered in another practice, which is not configured to share immunization records with other practices in the enterprise. Mark a Vaccines Series as Complete to Verify Documented Immunizations

Scenario: A patient has received immunizations in another practice but does not know the dates of the immunizations. Select the Immunizations tab. To mark the previous immunizations as complete, select Exclusions. Select Series Complete and select the vaccines to complete the series. To save your changes, select Save & Close. Add a Patient's Immunizations Documented in Another Practice

Scenario: A patient’s previously administered immunization are documented in another practice. However, the enterprise does not share immunizations records across practices. Therefore, the immunizations do not display on the Chart window. Note: For enterprises that choose to not share chart information, Enterprise Chart is set to Disabled. Select the Immunizations tab. The No Known Immunization History check box displays on the Chart tab toolbar. To document the patient’s immunizations, select one of the following options on the Chart tab toolbar: Historical: Add or Update Historical Immunizations. Exclusions: Document an Immunization Series as Complete. After you complete the patient’s vaccine series or update the immunizations history, select Save. The system no longer displays the No Immunization History check box on the Chart tab toolbar. Continue with the immunization administration process, if necessary. Patient with no Previously Documented Immunizations

For reporting purposes, you can indicate that a patient has no record of receiving immunizations. When you select the Immunizations tab, if the patient has no record of receiving immunizations, the system displays a No Known Immunization History check box on the Chart tab toolbar. To confirm that no immunization records exist, select the No Known Immunizations History check box. If a patient has received immunizations, the No Known Immunization History check box does not appear on the Chart tab. In some cases, a patient may have previously documented immunizations in another practice and the No Known Immunization History check box appears. This can occur if the patient’s chart is not shared with other practices. Document a Patient Has No Known Procedures

You can document within a patient’s chart that the patient did not have any known procedures performed. Open the Procedures Module.. Select the No Known Procedures check box. Procedures Note: If Enterprise Chart is turned on, the information applies to all practices under that enterprise. If Enterprise Chart is not turned on, the information applies only to the currently selected practice. To meet regulatory guidelines, the information is extracted when a Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document is generated for reporting purposes. If procedures are listed and the check box has not been cleared, the check box is ignored when C-CDA data is extracted. The check box does not automatically clear when procedures are added to the patient chart. When the check box no longer applies, you must manually clear the check box. Document Vaccines as Not Administered

You can document vaccines that are ordered today as not administered to a patient. On the MICS Immunizations template, expand the Immunization Administration panel. Select one of the following options to view the required order in the Immunization Orders grid: Today's Orders Prior Pending Orders Select the required order from the Immunization Orders grid. Select Not Administered. The MLTS Imm Not Admin window opens. Select the reason for not administering the vaccine, and select OK. Note: If you select the Other option, the Other Reason window opens. You can enter the reason in the blank field, and then select OK. The results are as follows: The Status field in the Immunization Orders grid is updated as Not Administered. In the Order Module and Immunization Ordering panel of the MICS Imms template, the status is updated as Not Administered for the corresponding dose column of the selected vaccine in the immunization grid. If the Patient decision option is selected, the status is update
