eRx Refill Requests from the Workflow Module Inbox

A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to eRX refill requests. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same refill requests as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the message "Restricted" appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns.

For more information about Inclusion and Exclusion List viewing restrictions, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the following documents:

  • Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR

The Clinical Tasking tab on the Workflow window displays your outstanding tasks. For an eRx refill request, you can accept, reject, approve, or deny it. You can also try to resolve unmatched eRx refill requests.

After you respond to a refill request on the Clinical Tasking list, it is no longer available in the Medications module; if you respond to it in the Medications module first, it is not available in the Clinical Tasking list.

In addition to approving or denying a refill request, you can perform the following actions for a selected patient:

  • Add a new NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM task.
  • View request details.
  • Open the patient's chart.
  • Open the patient's orders.

For more information about the Clinical Tasking tab, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Workflow Module Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR.
