Deny an RxChange Request from the Workflow Module

You can deny an RxChange request task from the Workflow module. When you deny an RxChange request task, NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends a notification to the pharmacy stating the reason for denial. The reason for denial depends on the RxChange request type. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select an RxChange request from the task list. The RxChange request details and patient information appears. Select Deny. The reasons for denial appear. eRx DCustom Denial Reasons Note: The reasons for denial may differ depending on the RxChange request type. If you configure custom denial reasons, NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes eRx custom denial reasons in the denial reasons list. Approve an Rx Change Request from the Workflow Module

You can approve the Rx Change request for different request types from the Workflow module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select an Rx Change request from the task list. The Rx Change request details and patient information appear. Select the appropriate request type and do one of the following: If the request type is Prior Authorization, enter the Prior Authorization ID provided by the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) and if necessary, select a Date. If the request type is Generic Substitution, select a generic medication under Suggested Medication. If the request type is Drug Use Evaluation, Script Clarification, or Out of Stock, select a generic medication under Suggested Medication. For the Drug Use Evaluation request type, you can do one of the following: Approve the Rx Change request of the suggested medication. The Clinical Tasking tab on the Workflow window displays your outstanding tasks. For an Rx Change request, you can approve, approve with changes, or deny it on the Clinical Tasking list. A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to eRX refill requests. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same refill requests as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the message "Restricted" appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns.
