Before you begin
  Ensure the encounter that you select to open Medication Allergies module is unlocked. If you need to delete a medication allergy assigned to a locked encounter, you must create either a custom or a new encounter and add a new allergy with the modifications to an existing allergy.
 
 
 
  - Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 
  - Open the Medication Allergies module for the selected patient. 
 
  - Select the allergy you want to delete from the module grid and select Delete.
   
    The Delete Record window opens displaying the confirmation message.
   
 
  - Do one of the following:
   
    - You can select Delete and mark item "Inactive" if you want to make the allergy inactive.
 
    - You can select Delete and mark item "Entered in error" for an allergy that is incorrectly added by provider.
 
   
 
  - Select Yes to delete the allergy.
 
  - Select No or close the window to cancel the deletion.
