Delete Medication Allergy

Before you begin

Ensure the encounter that you select to open Medication Allergies module is unlocked. If you need to delete a medication allergy assigned to a locked encounter, you must create either a custom or a new encounter and add a new allergy with the modifications to an existing allergy.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Open the Medication Allergies module for the selected patient.
  3. Select the allergy you want to delete from the module grid and select Delete.
    The Delete Record window opens displaying the confirmation message.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • You can select Delete and mark item "Inactive" if you want to make the allergy inactive.
    • You can select Delete and mark item "Entered in error" for an allergy that is incorrectly added by provider.
  5. Select Yes to delete the allergy.
  6. Select No or close the window to cancel the deletion.
